Rollover Crash in Kittery Reduces Rt 236 to One Lane for 3 Hours

KITTERY, Maine (WGAN)  Kittery Police say a truck driver has been cited after a rollover crash on Route 236.

Police say just after noon Wednesday, they responded to Route 236 at the northbound I-95 off ramp for a reported box truck rollover.

Police say the truck, which was loaded with food products and heading for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, exited the highway at an excessive speed, hit a guardrail and rolled onto its left side.

Police say the driver of the truck, 28-year-old Jermaine Mornan, was cited for imprudent speed.  The Bronx, New York man was uninjured.  A female passenger in the truck was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Route 236 was reduced to one lane for nearly three hours.
