Saco man charged with murder in shooting death of Lewiston man

A Saco man was arrested Monday night and charged with murder in connection with a deadly shooting in Biddeford.

The Maine State Police tactical and crisis negotiation teams arrested 25-year-old Lorenze Labonte around 6:30 p.m. at his home on Temple Street.

Labonte is charged in the death of 27-year-old Ahmed Sharif of Lewiston.

Police say Sharif was shot at an apartment building on State St. in Biddeford on Friday.

Labonte was scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday in York County District Court.
