Another recount in a Maine House race concluded Thursday, with Republican State Rep. Lucas Lanigan keeping his seat in House District 141 by a single vote.

Lanigan, who represents Sanford, turned himself in to authorities days before the election after he was charged with domestic violence aggravated assault. Lanigan was up against Democrat Patricia Kidder.

Also on Thursday, the Maine Secretary of State’s office said a recount in House District 142 was called off after Amy Bell withdrew her request for a recount. Democratic Rep. Anne-Marie Mastraccio will keep her seat in the district.

The office also announced that the recount in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District race requested by Republican challenger Austin Theriault will take place Dec. 2. Democrat Jared Golden won that race after ranked choice voting.
