Sanford police search for man accused of sexually explicit behavior in public

SANFORD, Maine (WGAN) Sanford police believe reports of a man engaging in sexually explicit behavior in public could be connected to similar recent incidents on the University of Southern Maine campus in Gorham.

Police in Sanford say a man was seen making inappropriate sexual comments to women working around the city on Sunday, and was seen at two Aroma Joe’s locations where he was said to be touching himself sexually and attempted to get inside the buildings. He then fled when police were called.

The man is described as white, between 25-35 years old, with a thin build and brownish-blonde hair in a ponytail. He was driving a beat-up, dark-colored Chevrolet truck with a 4×4 on the bed.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Sanford police.
