Scuba diving accident claimed life of Maine woman

KITTERY, Maine (AP) Officials say a Maine woman involved in a scuba diving accident died at a New Hampshire hospital.

The victim is identified by the Maine Marine Patrol as 45-year-old Tanya Cianchette of Saco.

Officials say she was diving with a recreational dive charter company on Sunday near the Isle of Shoals, about 6 miles off the coast.

Cianchette was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
