The fishing boat believed to be used by a father and son who went missing in Washington County and a body have been found by searchers.

Chester Barrett and his son, Aaron Barrett, were reported missing Saturday night.

Maine Marine Patrol says a remotely operated underwater vehicle was used to confirm that the object sighted earlier this week in 160 feet of water near Moose Cove between Cutler and Lubec is the missing fishing vessel.

Crews also spotted what they believe is a body.

The Marine Patrol says it’s working with family members on next steps and will determine whether a recovery is feasible.
