Body of Naples ATV rider located by game warden

The body of a Naples man who went missing after going out for an ATV ride has been found.

The Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife says the initial investigation indicates that 40-year-old Joseph Jimino crashed his ATV along South Tamworth Road in Otisfield and died as a result of injuries suffered in the accident.

The dirt road is part of the ATV trail network in the area.

The man’s body was found at about 9:00 a.m. Tuesday by a game warden who was searching area ATV trails for signs of Jimino.

The department says Jimino’s ATV was found near his body and his death is not considered suspicious.

The accident remains under investigation and the body will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause of death.

He was last heard from on Thursday, when he told friends he was out riding his ATV.

According to MDIFW, “He stated that he was out riding his ATV, most likely on nearby trails in the Naples/Otisfield area.”
