Semi Driver Injured in I-295 Rollover Crash in Brunswick


A 28-year-old semi driver has injuries after his truck overturned on I-295 in Brunswick overnight.

Maine State Police say an Irving fuel truck full of kerosene went off the road and overturned on the northbound side of the highway at about 2:45 am.

The driver, Nicholas Garcia of Cape Elizabeth, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the Maine Department of Environmental Protection handled cleanup of the scene.

The northbound travel lane was closed while the scene was cleared by DEP.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
