ALFRED, Maine (AP) — The sentencing of a woman charged with killing her ex-husband in his driveway has been pushed back to December.

Forty-eight-year-old Kandee Collind entered a guilty plea to a charge of intentional and knowing murder in August. Her sentencing was expected to take place on Nov. 19, but court officials say it has been moved back to Dec. 13.

Authorities charge that Collind stabbed Scott Weyland in front of their children in his driveway in Acton in February 2017 after learning that Weyland was given custody of their children.

Collind’s attorney has said Collind wanted to spare her children a potentially traumatic trial, so she pleaded guilty. A plea agreement caps her sentence at a maximum of 32 years.
