Police think alcohol may have played a factor in a single vehicle crash on Gray Road in Windham Tuesday night.

Officers say they were called to the scene at 255 Gray Road shortly before 7 p.m., where they found 36-year-old Derek Patnaude of Windham unconscious in a 2012 Toyota Tundra that had left the roadway and hit a tree.

They say crews worked to get Patnaude safely out of the vehicle, who was then taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by the Windham Police Department’s Crash
Reconstruction Unit.

Gray Road was closed for several hours Tuesday night after the crash.
