Several vehicles sent off road after crash on turnpike

A crash on the turnpike in the southbound lane caused several vehicles off the road Saturday afternoon. The Maine Turnpike Authority reported a crash near mile marker 39 in Scarborough.

According to CBS 13, the initial crash sent debris into the northbound lanes and at one point all lanes on the southbound side were blocked.

We don’t know of any reported injuries at this time.

The highway has since been reopened.
