A Maine ski resort is under new ownership, after the sale of Shawnee Peak in Bridgton.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, the new owner is Boyne Resorts, the same owner as Sugarloaf, Sunday River and Loon Mountain.

All Shawnee Peak employees will remain employed this season, and all ski passes will still be valid.

The mountain’s previous owner, Chet Homer, wrote on Facebook that at age 71, he wants to spend more time with his family and teach his grandkids how to ski.
