Shooting in Eliot results in charges for local man

An Eliot man has been charged in connection with a shooting over the weekend.

Eliot police responded to the call at the home on Old Road around 1:30 Sunday morning.

Police took 60-year-old Christopher Barry into custody. He’s accused of shooting a man who was staying in the home.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released from the hospital.

Barry was charged with elevated aggravated assault and taken to York County Jail. He was being held on $2,000 bail.
