Shooting in Lewiston leaves teenager with leg injury

A 14-year-old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in Lewiston Thursday night.

Officers arrived at 129 Pierce Street around 10 p.m. to find the boy with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center, where police said he was refusing to cooperate with investigators.

The shooting is under investigation, but there does not appear to be any threat to the public.

As of Friday, there was no word of any arrests or suspects identified.
