A Raymond woman who was trapped underneath her vehicle after a crash on Thursday was being treated for serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Melissa Dube was behind the wheel when she lost control of her vehicle on Webbs Mills Road around 2:45 p.m.

Police say she was ejected from the vehicle and became trapped underneath it. She was rescued by first responders and taken to Maine Medical Center.

Webbs Mills Road was closed for about an hour.

The sheriff’s office said the crash is still under investigation. Speed, impairment and vehicle defects are being considered factors.
