Snow is creating some slick road conditions this morning. Police are urging drivers to take it slow, and school leaders in a number of communities have decided to cancel classes today.

Speeds on the entire stretch of the Maine Turnpike have been reduced to 45 mph due to snow. State police and the Maine Turnpike Authority are asking drivers to exercise caution.

Schools are closed today in Lewiston-Auburn, Saco-Biddeford, Portland and Augusta.

Several towns and cities have announced parking bans for today, including Lewiston-Auburn, Sanford and Falmouth. All of them will be in effect by 10:00 a.m.

The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, saying forecasters expect 3-5 inches of snow.
