Snowmobiler Hospitalized After Hitting Tree in Otisfield

A snowmobile rider is recovering from injuries after hitting a tree in Otisfield on Saturday.

Otisfield firefighters say they arrived on the scene in a UTV and took the injured person to an ambulance.

They say the snowmobile rider was wearing a helmet, which may have saved his life.

They also say members of the snowmobile group stayed with the injured person until emergency personnel arrived on the scene in the woods,

The snowmobile appeared to be badly damaged in the crash.
