Speed considered a factor in multi-vehicle crash at Auburn drive-through

There were multiple injuries when a car flipped over at the Burger King drive-through in Auburn on Thursday.

Auburn police said the multi-vehicle crash happened at the restaurant on Center Street around 7:15 p.m.

18-year-old Asad Mohamed of Lewiston was behind the wheel when he struck a vehicle that was exiting the Verizon parking lot. Mohamed’s vehicle went airborne, striking two vehicles that were waiting at the drive-through.

Several people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Part of the Burger King was also damaged.

Speed was found to a contributing factor.

No charges had been filed as of Friday.
