A Maine man has been sentenced for stalking his former girlfriend.

38-year-old Ian Robertson of Hope put a tracking device on the woman’s car and stalked her for over two months this year. The Portland Press Herald reports the device was discovered when her car was being inspected.

On Wednesday, Robertson was sentenced to 364 days behind bars for domestic violence stalking, with all but 20 days suspended. He was placed on one year probation and must undergo a psychological exam.

Robertson and the woman had been in a four-year relationship and had a child together before breaking up last year.
