State Fire Marshall Investigating “Suspicious” Biddeford Fire

Police and fire personnel are asking for the public’s help to determine what caused a fire at the May Street Recreation Facility in Biddeford over the weekend.

The fire in the facility’s ballfield bathroom is being called “suspicious” by the Maine State Fire Marshall’s Office.

The Biddeford Recreation Department’s administration reported the fire after it was extinguished at about 8:45 am Saturday.

The Biddeford Fire Department and Biddeford Police Department were dispatched to the recreation facility at 130 May Street to investigate.
