The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office says it is investigating a fire that destroyed a Maine Turnpike Authority garage in Auburn Sunday night.

The office says a 911 call was placed at about 5:55 p.m. reporting a fire at the Maine Turnpike Authority garage located off the side of I-95 and Hackett Road in Auburn.

The Auburn Fire Department says it found the 6 bay garage fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.

The structure and its contents are a total loss, including four plow trucks and numerous other vehicles. Fire Marshal’s Office investigators were still on scene Monday morning conducting an origin and cause investigation.

No injuries were reported.
