State makes more free COVID-19 tests available to Mainers

Mainers can now order free COVID-19 tests once a month.

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services says Mainers can order tests through Project Access COVID Tests. Households can place an order for one free kit of five rapid tests per month.

Since the project launched in January, nearly 500,000 free tests have been sent to Maine households.

Orders can be placed through AccessCovidTests.org. No payment information is required as the tests and shipping are free.
