State Police Searching For Bank Robbery Suspect in China


CHINA, Maine (WGAN) Police are looking for the suspect involved in a bank robbery in the town of China.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says police responded to a bank robbery at the Bar Harbor Bank and Trust on Route 3 around 2:30 Thursday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5′ 3″ with a slim build.

They say he made off with an undisclosed amount of cash but never showed a weapon. Police believe he likely fled in a vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police in augusta.
