Suicide, and a Dead Body Found After Police Stop Car In Gardiner

GARDINER, Maine (WGAN) Two deaths are under investigation by state police after a car was pulled over late Thursday afternoon in Gardiner.

After several reports of a vehicle operating erratically on Interstate 295, police pulled the suspect over at approximately 4:45 PM on Timberwood Drive.

Upon getting pulled over, the man driving the vehicle stepped out of the car and fatally shot himself.

When police searched the vehicle, they found a dead body inside the trunk.

Both bodies have been transferred to the state medical examiner’s office for autopsies, and police are still investigating.
