Suspect charged for death of Portland Man in Massachusetts

A man is facing murder charges and is behind bars in connection to the death of a Portland man.

Plymouth County District Attorney said that 42-year-old Christopher Caron turned himself in on Saturday.

Investigators found a car in Weymouth a week prior outside of the South Shore Hospital’s emergency room entrance. 27-year0old Declan Perry’s body was found in the backseat.

CBS 13 reports that according to the DA Perry’s body was wrapped in blankets and duct tape. They said that the suspect drove the car where Perry’s body was found, alerted medical staff, and ran from the area before police could arrive.

The medical examiner has not yet determined the manner and cause of Perry’s death.

Caron was arrested and is charged with murder. He’s scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment in Higham District Court on Tursday.
