Suspect that Stole Police Cruiser Out of Hospital


DEXTER, Maine (WGAN)  State Police say a man that stole a police cruiser, then crashed another stolen car during a chase is out of the hospital.

Police say Tyler Tibbetts was released from Eastern Maine Medical Center Monday and taken to the Penobscot County Jail.

State Police have charged him with theft of a motor vehicle, as a result of the Dexter Police cruiser he stole Friday.

Dover Foxcroft Police have charged him as a result of the chase he took part in on Friday afternoon. He also faces probation violations.
