4-Day Manhunt Ends: John Williams in Custody.

Over 150 officers aided in the capture of 29-year-old John Williams.

Williams is the man accused of killing Somerset County Sheriff’s Corporal Eugene Cole and lead police on a four day manhunt that came to a close today.

The manhunt began on Wednesday and was spread out over 25 miles in the area of Martin Stream Road in Norridgewock and Fairfield.

According to our info partners at Channel 8 WMTW, Williams was found off of Route 139 in Norridgewock at around 12:45PM Saturday. It is not known if Williams was injured, but he was captured alive. Officials say Williams also stole Cole’s cruiser and robbed a convenience store. This story will be updated.
