Maine State Police are investigating a potential homicide in Brunswick.

It began Friday evening when Bath police responded to a disturbance call. During that investigation, a 45-year-old Brunswick man named Tanner Dostie made statements that led investigators to search a Brunswick residence, where they found a deceased adult male.

Dostie has been charged with murder and is being held at the Cumberland County Jail.

The medical examiner’s office in Augusta will perform an autopsy to confirm the victim’s identity and cause of death, with the State Police Major Crimes Unit leading the investigation.
