PORTLAND, Maine (AP) Portland police say a woman who left a suspicious package in the police station lobby has been charged with terrorizing.

Parts of the Portland Police Department building were evacuated and dispatch was relocated when police discovered the suspicious package Friday morning.

Surveillance video showed a woman leaving it in the lobby at 5:15 a.m., when the lobby was closed.

The police station was reopened at 10 a.m. after the device was deemed not to be a threat.

Police say the woman who left the package was arrested at 5:52 a.m. for allegedly attempting to assault a coffee shop patron and steal a cellphone. Police say the 20-year-old woman faces charges of theft and burglary for that incident.
