Police in Auburn say one person has been arrested and another is still at large following a shooting in a Walmart parking lot.

Police said a 19-year-old male had been shot in the parking lot outside the Walmart Superstore on Mount Auburn Avenue on Thursday night following an altercation with an acquaintance. He was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

A 16-year-old male from Lewiston was arrested in connection with the shooting, and police are still searching for 19-year-old Sincere George, also of Lewiston. George was last seen fleeing the scene in a black 2005 Chevy Cobalt with Maine license plate 6552XY. He’s considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information about George’s whereabouts is being asked to reach out to police.
