Teen hospitalized after being ejected in wet road crash on I-95 in Bangor

Bangor (WGME) – A crash unfolded on I-95 in Bangor on Saturday night. According to Maine State Police, a teenager was ejected from a pickup truck and transported to the hospital.

The incident occurred around 10:50 pm near Stillwater Avenue. Police say a 17-year-old driver lost control of their Ford F250 while trying to pass another vehicle on the wet road. The truck swerved and hit a guardrail.

A 17-year-old passenger who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt was thrown from the vehicle. They were taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. No information is available yet about their condition.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Maine State Police.
