Maine State Police are seeking the public's help tracking a driver accused to striking a teenage girl riding her bike, and then driving off. 


Maine State Police are seeking the public’s help tracking a driver accused to striking a teenage girl riding her bike, and then driving off.

Police say the girls were riding their bikes when a white Jeep SUV with white lettering on the back appeared to loose control and struck one of the girls’ bicycles. The girl suffered a minor ankle injury as a result of the accident.

The incident happened on Shiloh Road in Durham around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Maine State Police provided photos show the damage

Police say the drive slowed and backed up to check on the girl, but drove off without offering any assistance.

Maine State Police are trying to contact the driver. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Burke at (207) 624-7022.
