Biddeford — The Wall That Heals, a name-for-name replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., is making a special stop at Biddeford Middle School from July 18th to July 21st, 2024. This traveling memorial honors the sacrifices made by Vietnam veterans, allowing the local community to pay tribute to the 58,000 U.S. service members who lost their lives during the Vietnam War.

It is currently on display at Biddeford Middle School through Sunday at 1:45 PM. Visitors can visit 24 hours a day, as there are lights that light up the wall. There is a travelling museum with all sorts of Vietnam facts and artifacts. Also in attendance is the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit which travels around the nation to educate people about WAA from their start here in Maine to provide wreaths for every grave at Arlington National Cemetery, and their growth to now placing wreaths on veteran’s graves in all 50 states.

The Wall That Heals is three-fourths the size of the original Vietnam Veterans Memorial, making it accessible to veterans who may find a trip to Washington, D.C. challenging.
