Three Arrested in Connection With Lewiston Shooting

LEWISTON, Maine (WGAN) Two Maine men and a Massachusetts man were arrested in connection with a shooting in Lewiston Saturday morning.

The Lewiston Police Department posted on their Facebook page Sunday saying that they had arrested 33-year-old Quentaris Leonard of Lewiston on charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and possessing cocaine.

The other two men that were arrested were, Sharod Nunes, 39,  also of Lewiston who was wanted for aggravated trafficking in a class A scheduled drug. Along with him was 41-year-old James Crump of Dorchester, Massachusettes who is facing charges of robbery, possessing a firearm, and aggravated reckless conduct.

All three men are currently in custody at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn.

Police say that they believe someone was attacked on Saturday night and suffered a gunshot wound, however, they have not been able to locate a victim. The investigation is still ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to please contact them.
