ARUNDEL, Maine (WGAN) The York County Sheriff’s Office says three people are being held at the York County Jail following a traffic stop Tuesday.
Police say around 9:30 a.m., a deputy stopped a car because the registration was suspended due to toll violations. Police say the driver couldn’t produce information regarding the vehicle and claimed not to have ID on him.
Police say the driver was 28-year-old Tison Gagne from Biddeford. He gave a fake name at first, but police learned who he was and that he was a habitual offender that had his driver’s license revoked.
Gagne was arrested for operating after being declared a habitual offender, failure to give correct name and D.O.B. and operating with a suspended registration. He’s being held at York County Jail on $500 bail.
Police also say 25-year-old Rebecca Person was a passenger in the car. The Biddeford woman had a warrant charging her with failure to appear for a theft charge. She was also taken to York County Jail with bail set at $200.
Police say while at the jail, she was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and summonsed for trafficking in prison contraband. Bail on that charge is $1,000.
A third person in the car, 33-year-old Erick Robinson from Biddeford, was also arrested for failure to appear in court for an unlawful possession of scheduled drugs charge. His bail was set at $200.
All three are expected to appear via video arraignment Wednesday morning.
