Three people treated for minor injuries after utility truck goes off Portland bridge

Only minor injuries were reported after a utility truck went through the guardrail and off of Tukey’s Bridge in Portland Wednesday morning.

Maine State Police say the truck burst through the northbound side of the bridge at Exit 8 before landing upside-down, partially in the water in Casco Bay.

Officials say three people were in the vehicle at the time. They were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash was not immediately available.
