TOPSHAM, Maine (WGAN)  The State Fire Marshal’s Office says a Topsham man has been charged with setting his apartment on fire last month.

35-year-old Jesse Watts was arrested Monday by Brunswick Police.

The fire took place at an apartment at 2 Old Augusta Road in Topsham on June 18. The fire was set on the kitchen counter. There was minor damage to the apartment and no injuries to others in the apartment house.

Watts was charged with arson and was taken to the Two Bridges Jail.
