South Portland – If you smelled something not so special in the air around South Portland-Scarborough in the area where I-295 meets the Maine Turnpike Tuesday you were not imagining it.  A tractor trailer truck loaded with mulch and manure overturned leaving behind a huge mess over the ramp from I-295 getting onto the turnpike.  The onramp was closed and traffic was detoured.

There were no injuries reported and the ramp has reopened to traffic .

Troopers cited Brian Raymond, 32, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, with failure to maintain lane and operating a handheld device while driving.
