A tractor-trailer rollover led to lane closures on the Maine Turnpike Wednesday.

Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer for Maine Department of Public Safety, said in an email it happened at approximately 10:15 a.m. at mile 94 northbound in Litchfield.

The email, sent about 10:50 a.m., said the northbound passing lane was closed. Due to scattered debris from the wreck, the southbound passing lane was closed as well.

Moss said the Department of Environmental Protection was called to the scene because some diesel fuel spilled onto the road.

She said the driver was out of the truck and walking around, but it wasn’t immediately known if that individual suffered any injuries in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.

The truck was hauling potatoes.
