Truck driver charged with OUI after crash in New Gloucester

The driver of a tractor-trailer truck was arrested after his big rig crashed in New Gloucester early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the area of Lewiston and Gloucester Hill Roads at about 4:15 a.m. Lewiston Road is also Route 202.

Police say the truck left the roadway and rolled onto its side, blocking both lanes of travel on 202.

The operator of the tuck was 35-year-old Adam Holm of the state of Illinois.

Police say he fled on foot but was found not far away from the scene of the crash.

Holm was charged with OUI, operating after suspension and leaving the scene of an accident.

The truck was hauling apple juice and was owned by a company in Illinois.
