Turner man dies after accident on farm

TURNER, Maine (WGAN) A Turner man has died after a loader he was operating fell into a liquid manure pit.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 news, firefighters said the man was operating a loader at Nezinscot Farm on Route 117, or Turner Center Road, when the loader fell in the pit on Monday. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

In a Facebook post made Tuesday afternoon, the farm said Roy Varney, the son of farm owners Gregg and Gloria Varney, died in the hospital.
