Two Arrested in Pittsfield Drug Bust


PITTSFIELD, Maine (WGAN)  Two people have been arrested on drug charges in Pittsfield.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office says a Friday morning during a drug bust led to the arrests of 30-year-old Brian Leavitt and 26-year-old Ashleigh Richmond.

Police say they seized several grams of fentanyl, nearly $3,000 in cash, an AR-15 rilfe with multiple magazines, a loaded .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun and a .22-caliber rifle, along with a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and drug paraphernalia.

Both Leavitt and Richmond were charged with aggravated drug trafficking and possession.  Both are being held at Somerset County Jail on $20,000 bond.

They have a court date on February 14.
