VASSALBORO, Maine (WGAN) A Maine woman and a New York man are facing drug charges after a bust in Vassalboro.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says 33-year-old Sarah Fuschwanz and 51-year-old Andre Field were both arrested Wednesday following a joint investigation into the sale of drugs in Kennebec County.
Wednesday, drug agents and police went to Vassalboro to arrest Fuschwanz and found her driving away from her home. Fuschwanz was pulled over with two people in the car with her.
Drug agents say a search of the car turned up 80 grams of crack cocaine, ten grams of heroin, ten grams of powdered cocaine as well as Suboxone. Additionally, about $3,250 of suspected drug proceeds was seized. Agents say the street value of the drugs was about $10,000.
As a result of the investigation, drug agents say Fuschwanz has been charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking and two counts of violation of conditions of release. Augusta Police charged her with two counts of trafficking as well.
Fields, who was in the car, was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking. The third person in the car, 33-year-old Tania Murphy from Hallowell, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for violations of conditions of release.
All three were taken to Kennebec County Jail.
