Two bicyclists injured in separate accidents in Portland this week

Thursday Portland police say a van who had a green light struck an individual on a bicycle at the intersection of Forest Avenue and State street and was taken Maine Medical Center with non-life threating injuries.  On Tuesday a similar accident occurred nearby where police say a 22-year-old driver of an SUV towing a boat trailer struck and seriously injured a 63-year-old man on a bike.  That accident took place right near 335 Forest Avenue.  No charges have been filed in either case.
