BALDWIN, Maine (WGAN) The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in connection with thefts from a charitable bottle and can donation trailer.

Police say 32-year-old Matthew Colby of Parsonsfield and Christin Parmenter of Newfield were arrested following reports of thefts from the trailer at the intersection of Depot Street and River Road in Baldwin over the last two weeks. The pair were arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Colby was charged with misdemeanor Theft by Unauthorized Taking and Parmenter with felony Theft by Unauthorized Taking, due to previous theft convictions.
