Two firefighters and one man pulled from Sanford pond after ice rescue attempt

SANFORD, Maine (WGAN) An ice rescue in Sanford led to two firefighters falling through the ice in Sanford.

According to CBS 13, it happened Thursday when a fisherman and his ATV went through the ice on Bauneg Beg Pond. Firefighters said the man was yelling for help.

When they arrived, the two firefighters also fell through the ice.

All three were pulled out of the water and brought to safety by a crew of 11 firefighters and four other people.
