ST. GEORGE, Maine (WGAN) Two firefighters are in the hospital with minor injuries after two fire trucks collided in St. George.

The Bangor Daily News reports the two trucks were shuttling water to a fire on Clark Island around 1:15 P.M. Thursday. One firetruck from St. George and another from Owls Head collided on Clark Island Road. Both trucks ended up in ditches.

Crews from surrounding towns were called in to transport water to the fire, which destroyed a garage. No injuries have been reported in that fire, and fire officials say it had been contained.
