A 14-year-old from Yarmouth was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after falling down a waterfall in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.

According to the Portland Press Herald, the incident happened at Cloudland Falls in Lincoln on Sunday afternoon. The girl was hiking with her family when she fell nearly the entire length of the waterfall.

Rescuers arrived to perform first aid and bring the girl down the trail. She was taken to the hospital in Plymouth.

Also on Sunday, another hiker from Maine who injured her ankle was picked up by a nearby scenic railroad train.

33-year-old Allie Wityak of Cape Elizabeth was hiking near the railroad in Crawford Notch in New Hampshire when she hurt her ankle and couldn’t walk.

The engineer on the Conway Scenic Railroad train was able to pick Wityak up and bring her to a trailhead where she was then taken to the hospital.
