The University of Maine system will enter phase 3 of it’s random asymptomatic coronavirus screening strategy.

The school system said Thursday it’s already conducted more than 14,000 tests on asymptomatic students, diagnosing and isolating 13 confirmed cases.

Phase 3 of the random sampling process will begin Monday and continue up until Thanksgiving break, after which students will switch to virtual learning.

Phase 3 includes several rounds of testing, which each include 2,000 tests being done over a period of 10 days.
