Less than two weeks after students began returning to campus, the University of Maine System is reporting 11 active cases of coronavirus among students.
Eight of those cases originate from their UMaine campus, while the other three are at the University of Southern Maine.
The university is reporting that three people have been released from isolation. One student from the University of Maine was released, another from the University of Southern Maine, and an adjunct faculty member at UMaine Farmington was released.
The other University of Maine System campuses have not reported any cases of COVID-19, as of Saturday.
